The training went fantastic as the group was put through both intense physical and mental training. The group was tested at the end and everyone came out with flying colors.
In addition to the 10 hour days of training, members of the group got to share in the Boise State football experience. As the only team in the NCAA allowed to have blue colored turf, it was interesting to see. The fans were intense and their support for their team rivaled that of any program in the country.

We look forward to hearing great things from out west, and know that this club is going to continue to succeed.

Pictured are the NY Pitbulls and Parisi's Martin Rooney on the right chanting in victory after Andre Gusmao (center with shirt off) won his match to make the NY Pitbulls the 2007 IFL World Champions this past week in Hollywood, Florida.
The Pitbulls worked hard and went undefeated this season and avenged a controversial loss last year to the very tough returning champion Quad Cities Silverbacks. The matches had great excitement and the drama was amazing as there was a 2-2 team tie going into the final match of the night.
On the undercard, Parisi trained athletes Jamal Patterson and Rolles Gracie also fought and both submitted their opponents in the first round via chokeout.
Overall, this was a fantastic way to cap the year and we are very proud of all the hard work the fighters have put in and that they were shown that where there is great effort, there will always be accomplishment.

This week was another amazing week in terms of both the transfer of knowledge and of energy and enthusiasm as well. The team from One80 Fitness in Wilmington, Mass. was awesome and we know they are going to be changing the lives of kids in their area for sure. If anyone is in the Boston area, you have to check them out.
We also had representatives from CanDo Fitness in Princeton, NJ and Darien Physical Therapy in Darien, CT that made it through the week as well.
We at Parisi's are excited to know that we have more great team members on board to fight the good fight of fitness in more areas in our great country.
We are excited to annouce 2 more great clubs have come on board with our national mission!
#27 Defined Fitness in Albuquerque, New Mexico

Defined Fitness began in 1987 as a small local gym struggling in the Albuquerque Market. The business ethic’s of health clubs and gyms in the 1980’s created much distrust and dissatisfaction with the consumer. Defined Fitness consciously decided to do it different. We were the original “no contract” health club in the Albuquerque Metro area and probably in the country. Members pay at the beginning of each month that they want to the use the gym. They can stop paying at any time and can come back at any time. This philosophy of having to earn our consumer’s business each month has allowed for much success.
With many, local strategic partners, we have grown from a single 13,000 square foot facility, in 1987, to over a 125,000 square feet of “state of the art” free weights and machines, cardio equipment, pools, saunas, steam rooms, hot tubs and Group Fitness programming. We continually research and look for ways to improve our facilities through ongoing purchases of new equipment, remodeling facilities with improved, innovative products and finding the best ways to maintain clean and safe environments for all who enjoy our amenities.
Because health, wellness and fitness are not fads but rather an essential component to every person’s quality of life, we see a bright future for our company. We are not your “fly by night” health club. We are here to stay and are committed to the people in our communities. There are still several untapped markets for us in the Albuquerque Metro area and beyond. Our plan is to continue providing these and other communities with an honest, “state of the art” product at a great value. With Defined Fitness, “Every BODY wins”.
We are excited to announce the addition of a 3000 square foot Parisi Speed School to our programming options in 2008. We believe that this service will be of great value to the youth of our community by enhancing and refining not only the performance of the skilled athlete, but also providing success and achievement for children and adolescents of all abilities. With the alarming statistics regarding childhood obesity in our country, we embrace the Parisi philosophy and look forward to making a difference in the lives of our youth.
